Unimate-22:
Hydrogen controlled, basic coated iron powder type electrode, Specially designed for welding of fine grained steels and nickel alloy steels. Presence of 3.5% Ni imparts to weld metal a high degree of low temperature notch toughness and resistance to the embritting effects of sub-zero temperatures. The electrode is thus well suited for welding pressure vessels, piping systems, valves and tanks used for liquified propane, butane, ethane and Co2 etc..
- Ease of operation in all positions.
- Smooth and stable arc which is easy to strike & restrike, combined with low spatter and with due control on molten pool.
- Slag detachability with little effort.
- Welds of consistent X-ray quality.
- Weld metal which possesses excellent mechanical properties and displays remarkable impact resistance at sub-zero temperatures down to minus 80°C.
- A higher level of metal recovery at 100-110%.
- Resistance to moisture pick-up.
