Hydrogen controlled iron powder type electrode designed for welding creep-resisting steels (0.5 Cr -0.5 Mo & 1 Cr-0.5 Mo) and low alloy heat treatable steels. The weld metal displays excellent creep resistance at service temperatures upto 550°C.

Application:Welding of 1.25 Cr-0.5 Mo steel used for super heater tubes, steam pipes and headers of boilers for electric power plant, equipment of oil refineries, when the job requirement calls for carbon in weld metal to be controlled at 0.05% or less. Moreover, S & P levels are kept low to improve ductility & toughness.
