Feniweld:

FENIWELD is a nickel-iron alloy electrode designed to produce high strength, ductile and machinable weld with good colour match with the parent metal. Suitable for repair and joining components of various type of cast irons, including grey and nodular cast iron. Casting containing phosphorous levels higher than normal (approx. 0.2%) are more readily welded using this electrode. Due to the higher tensile strength and ductility of the nickel-iron deposits, satisfactory welds can be made on heavy and highly stressed sections.Soft and steady arc, good fusion characteristics, evenly rippled smooth bead are some of the many pleasing features associated with the electrode.

Identification:Name Printed

Applications:FENIWELD is ideally suited for joining various types of cast iron such as grey cast iron, nodular cast iron, malleable cast iron. S. G. iron. For welding cast iron to steel and to nickel alloys, for filling and reclamation of various cast iron parts, rectification of defective casting in cast iron foundry, engine heads, pump casing, impellers, rope drums, ingot moulds and a variety of cast iron machine parts and equipments.

Welding directions:For joining, bevel the edges of 75-90° in single or double V groove according to the thickness of the parts. For repair of cracks, drill holes at the two ends of the crack to arrest its further propagation. Remove entire crack material to sound chipping, gouging or machining. To avoid stresses during cooling, only short runs should be welded at a metal by time so that the work piece is not heated more than Peen the weld beads while warm to avoid the risk of shrinkage necessary.
